Sylvia holds a graduate diploma in Musical Theatre and Theatre Dance from London Studio Centre, as well as a PGCE and a MA Professional Practice in Higher Education from Bath Spa University. Sylvia spent many years performing in professional productions such as 'West Side Story', 'A Chorus Line', 'Chicago' and 'Spirit of the Dance'; she starred in various Casino shows, dance videos and travelled the world with several cruise ship contracts. She currently leads degree programmes in musical theatre, acting and dance at UCW, teaching a range of dance and musical theatre related classes. She has choreographed and directed many shows whilst working for UCW and professional companies. Most recently, she is developing choreographies for telematic digital performances as part of her PhD study.
